Just ran at Paul Short and I can’t believe how good these guys are. 5 in the top 11 of the gold race and 5 in the top 10 of the open race?! Go off Bulldogs 💪
Here we go again! Whether those kids are foreign or home grown, they've developed immensely under that coaching staff. Their progression across the board is pretty damn impressive. If you're bitter that American kids are underrepresented, start recruiting for them! The American kids will develope nicely there as well. Until then, sit back and enjoy watching one of the best D2 XC teams ever.

They have 30 foreign runners on the roster. With that much talent on one roster it would be impossible not to produce some results. No idea how the financial aid works there, but it's apples and oranges when it comes to funding for different programs and schools.

None of the Paul Short races was won by a D1 team unless I missed something. There don't seem to be team standings in the Open Race.
Why do you care? Then don't bother to comment on the thread if you're just going to rip on students and schools you know nothing about.
According to the NCAA.org website an NCAA II Men's and Women's XC / Track & Field a program can have the equivalent of 12.6 countable athletic scholarships.

They should let them have 100 scholarships. A full ride is the only thing that could make me want to attend those dogwater schools.
I honestly don't know: why would an international student come to this school? The degree can't be valuable in any real way, it's just some random no-name, no-prestige school in the states. Is it really just to run for four years, for free?

Many internationals don't have grades and English ability for top schools.
They also have no idea about US college running tradition, the US college system, or reps/rankings. That's how they end up at Cal Baptist.

I'd much rather go to one of those dogwater schools than go to one where I'd be with a lot of people like you.

Believe it or not, in much of the world and even in some places in the US,you either have a degree or you don't and no one really cares what school it's from.

good luck with life then. I dont think most NC kids would even have Wingate in their top 15 schools to attend just within NC. There's a reason they have to get internationals, most americans know to avoid crap schools like wingate.

Thanks. Life with a degree from a dogwater school has worked out very well for me. And really, many more Americans attend what you call crap schools than what you probably consider prestigious ones.

I know a runner who graduated from Wingate recently. She reportedly had a great experience running there, and her Wingate degree got her into a prestigious PhD program at a major research university. I haven't heard anything negative in fact.

It can get you jobs around Charlotte NC, which is a pretty good place to live and train.
