Musau with a nice win and Schoppe moved up the whole race for a big finish for OSU as their fifth man. New Mexico showed their depth though and will be contenders for the podium come nationals it looks like.

OSU looks like clear #1 at nationals. Musau ran 23:40 here last year and got top 10 at nationals. Today OSU put 5 inside that same mark.
Agree, but unless they’re holding someone back, they need to keep these 5 healthy and fit. The gap to 6th man on the Ok State team was huge. That’ll lose them the title if one of their top 5 falls out for some reason at Nationals (again, unless coach D Smith was holding one of his top 5 out today - I’m not aware if he was).

Dave doesn't like to show his hand before he needs to. In the regular season, he always usually holds 1-2 people from top 5-7 back to make sure people are healthy for November.
And this was without their 3rd man last year in Messaudi. Think it's going to take OSU having a bad day for anyone to have a shot at beating them.
Honestly at this rate it's gonna take OSU having a bad day and someone else having a good day for them to lose. Their spread and times on this course is pretty damn crazy.
Say what you want about foreigners in the NCAA but XC nationals this year are gearing up to be an all-timer.
OSU also has Stitt from AUS and Dean UK in that top 7 men.... It is a strange thing to see African running their own race then others come long ways a way
