Excellent points. When I pop an edible with a whopping 5mg at night, it puts me right to sleep and I wake up feeling refreshed. Thank god alcohol doesn’t do anything crazy like that!

That's correct. Like the "criminal justice" arguments, "medical marijuana" is largely a sham. There have even been an FDA-approved TCH pills or equivalents for 20+ years, and the use case (vomiting among chemo patients or whatever) is dubious. So-called medical marijuana was just an excuse to legalize and fully commercialize recreational weed.

If only weedtards stuck to smoking at home. Unfortunately you guys stink up every downtown public space, and drive while baked (yes, after decades of decline, traffic accidents are now going back up thanks to weed, look it up). Nice going.

Truth. Besides, I’m talking about addiction, not liver failure. And yes, most downtowns are reeking of marijuanas. It’s not the smell of liberty either. It’s the smell of giving up.

The word addiction doesn't appear once in the study. In fact, countless studies have shown that alcohol is more addictive than weed. Sounds like more drinkers have switched to lighting up, which is why the marijuana usage numbers are increasing after legalization.

I have a physical addiction to it. I only use in my own home, I do have a medical rx for it, and I really only use it once a day around 8:30/9:00 pm

Whenever I try to stop, even for a night, I have pretty terrible withdrawal symptoms. Insomnia and night sweats are the worst.

I quit drinking 5 years ago and that was a breeze compared to this. I feel like it is rather harmless for most people, but the myth that it isn't addictive is a dangerous narrative.

Very similar, but I stopped recently with no noticeable effects. It’s more of a mental addiction and I can wear myself out enough that it didn’t affect my sleep when I quit.

It’s not perfect, and has dangers but way better than alcohol.

The reduction in alcohol consumption that is underway, mostly replaced by pot, is going to prove to be one of the biggest boons to public health in American history.

There is no such thing as "mental addiction." That's just habit. Only physical addiction is real.

The treatment industry is responsible for distorting the truth. Too much money in it to let only the truly addicted be "alcoholics." You have to drink not just every day, but a whole lot, to be addicted to it. Much more so with weed, you have to be on Deadhead usage level for that.

While the pop treatment industry hypes up BS about these minor substances, tens of thousands are wasting and dying from opioids and other addictive drugs

Pot to just get high is so useless. It’s literally killing part of your life by zoning you out for that period. At least alcohol in moderation lubricates socializing by reducing inhibition but pot makes you more stupid than social.

my hospital see people flipping out on Marijuana and coming in with psychotic breakdowns and schizophrenia weekly now. auto accidents are up as well, slower reaction times.

The hidden cost of legal marijuana that no one wants to know about. Our ruling class likes to get baked. They’re not about to broadcast all the problems with legalization.

I don’t need any scientific articles to tell me weed is addictive, all I needed was to smoke all day every day for 10 years.

If desperation to find more weed before running out (or microwaving my pipe to smoke out nasty resin hits) isn’t enough, I definitely had sleep problems and serious irritability from weed cessation. Nobody’s ever died from weed cessation though, so it’s sure as hell better than alcohol withdrawal.
