Recently been seeing a large amount of high schoolers wearing dragonflies or other XC superspikes without the spikes in them on pavement heavy courses.
All of them seem to work fine so I tried it myself at a 3 mile pavement course (Bear Mountain) and seemed to do limited to none damage to the shoe and it felt great.
Have some upcoming road races and was possibly tinkering of the idea of racing in Dragonflies without spikes in......:.is there any reason why I shouldn't that I'm missing?
Just seems like this would be a more common practice if it was a good idea, but I am also struggling to see the flaw.
