I refuse to believe it. 2 boys running 13:30 flat and a girl running 15:20??? It has to be a 2.95 Mile AT MOST there is no shot it is a full 3 Mile. The also just dropped and Powell and Tostensen were rated at 195. There is no full length 3 Mile course on earth where it is physically possible to run a 13:30 and score a 195. A 158 at 15:20 for Blade is also absurd. Before Nico ran 13:39 in 2019 you had to be ridiculously fast to even touch 14/16 and the speed ratings were way higher now you have 10 boys under 14 and 10 girls under 16 every year since they switched the course. You can’t convince me it’s not a little short and everyone needs to stop lying and saying it’s a full 3 mile
Look pal. Woodbridge course has been no more than 2.85 miles ever since I set the TRUE course record back in ‘87. I ran 13:54 for a REAL 3 mile course and it was one of the greatest highschool performances of ALL time.
To be fair, if Arcadia was a flat 3 mile xc course nobody would be believe the times that were run on it. Arcadia is a full 3200 with almost 30 runners breaking 8:50. same applies to woodbridge
Yeah, it's fast, but just because people ran fast isn't proof it's short. People can run fast you know, especially a bunch of guys who ran 4:02 full miles last year
I just want to put it out there that Arcadia is certainly faster by not having a rail on the track. I've seen some athletes in lane -1 during some of those 3200s.

Nobody cares about XC times to begin with much less at a pancake flat course. Let the kids have their fun and get to see a super fast time on their milesplit.

Arcadia track as is any track wihout a rail are premade to be longer than tracks with rails. The Arcadia 3200 is actually longer than a 3200 because runners often have to be in lane 2 and 3 for a good part of the race.
After jogging the course, all of my kids were worried because their GPS was saying anywhere from 3.03 to 3.08. I told them not to worry because GPS does poorly on very twisting courses.
Take out the GPS over correction for turns and I think it was spot on 3 miles.
Plus, as stated earlier, there were all kinds of dudes out there wheeling it out.

Ok, but why would they be worried?
because the only reasons teams come to this meet and the only reason Californians care about it is because the entire design is to produce fast times that the runners aren't capable of running elsewhere. If the course is "long" it defeats the purpose of giving the kids an inflated ego.
Flattest and fastest course I have ever seen and with perfect weather. The long stretches on concrete let the super shoes shine. For those of you who haven’t run it, the course has also changed significantly over the past few years.
