San Juanita Leal has looked pretty good for the Aggies so far. but yeah its early. probably the majority havent run at all yet. give em a few months.
Nelah Roberts of BYU already ran and looked pretty good I think (4th runner for the team who ran basically everyone). But I bet in the next several weeks you will see some results for many of the top recruits for many of the programs run, perhaps unattached. NC State's W are supposed to run tomorrow.
curious if they let Michalak hit the ground running or they hold her back her first year. seems like shes too talented to sit on and they could use her this year. Notre Dame and North Carolina also both have full stables of freshmen this year. the Irish are especially loaded. im sure some of those kids will get red shirted but expect someone to come out of the gate impressively like Paityn Noe did last season.

Henes initially holds all freshman back planning 5 years. If a freshman runs great unattached and will be top 5, she moves them up.
Only Chmiel, Tuohy and Stevens have recently run as frosh.
Tomorrow will be interesting with the 3 frosh running unattached v a solid front 5 on the team.
To compete with ND, NAU, and BYU, the pack will really need 1-3 of these freshman to step up. The current #1 rank is a bit of an illusion.

I don't think any of the ND freshman are running today at ND. But Allie Zealand of Liberty is supposed to be running in Cary vs NC State and Clemson.
Notre Dame usually runs its top freshmen in the Joe Piane Invite in the open race, unattached, and sees how they fare before burning a red shirt year. That's in a couple more weeks.

Some of the top 2024 boys raced unattached today at Adidas. JoJo Jourdon took 3rd overall running unattached for Wake Forest and Noah Valyo took 5th overall running unattached for NC State. Grant Morgenfeld, David Serra and Brayden Marshall also ran well for Wake and NC State respectively also unattached.
