Spain's Elena Congost (visually impaired) got Bronze in the Paralympic Marathon on Sunday (PB & 4+mins ahead of 4th) despite her guide completely bonking in the finishing straight
She's now been DQ'd for an infringement related to them being/not being tied together in the final 2 metres of the race

I'm far from an expert on this stuff, but I'm not even sure I can see the infraction?! Plus if the guide is literally collapsing and she didn't even leave him... why on earth are they choosing to enforce the rule here?
Are all Para athletes expected to just sit on the side of the road and DNF if their guide has a shocker?
