Cool. Now test other sub 10.10 sprinters (Asinga is obvious), Simmons, Griffith, the random sub 4 runners, and others. I can guarantee you it won't be clean - not 100%!

HS kids in track have been using for a long time. It's obvious to anyone paying attention. Not just sprinters anymore though. Nobody at an athletic association level wants to deal with the fallout and litigation. They'll be sued into oblivion and gate fees wont cover defense attorneys or testing services. Instead, they've been reassurwd that they wont suffer much if any for allowing boys who want to look pretty to compete against girls.

rupp is still ticking despite starting the "supplements" at 14, the testosterone, the NOPe dope, the Oregon Juice, the 26 TUEs, the thyroxin, the hollowed out books, the creatine IVs, the inhalers ...........

Because, Crankypants, performance enhancing drug abuse by a high schooler is relevant to running, including high school running.

Author seems a bit crazy in other posts but I can't fault his arguments here:

The ridiculous frequency of super-fast high-school times can’t be attributed solely to a combination of the “superspikes” Nike introduced in 2019, harder and smarter training, and a deeper talent pool. There’s no question a substantial number of high-school athletes (and collegians) are cheating. And the frequency of prep-level dopers only has to be about 1 or 2 percent to have a substantial effect on top-performance lists.

I personally would believe doping would be most prevalent in the near-top of the NCAA but not the very top, same for high school.

Anyone who doesnt think kids in large numbers across the country have access to ped's in the 21st century are terribly naive or just playing the game deny, deny, deny. Shoes help, training efforts help etc but drug cheating helps more especially without any deterence via random testing.

The only ped you need for snowboarding is some devils lettuce.

EPO is harder to get but not impossible - you’d only need one sports performance doctor, a Mexican pharmacy if you’re close to the border, or in very rare cases online.

Steroids or SARMs? Trivial to obtain.

This is the FIRST HS kid who has ever doped. It is possible a couple have slipped through the cracks but this is the first one ever, as far as we know. We don’t count Galen Rupp.

The top high school sprinters are doping, as the Asinga case shows. And it clearly has also affected distance running.
