I am not a Kerr fan, but Kerr had a fantastic season including a dominant world indoor 3k title, 8:00 indoor 2 mile WR, 3:45 win over the world at Pre, and Olympic silver in sub-3:28. This is his first bad race, and though he may not be the best in the world, his World Championship is certainly not a fluke.
Kerr has run two outdoor races this year outside of the Olympics. To me that's not a good season. He should have more respect for Ingebrigtsen whos is a true prfessional racing week in week out, even when he's not 100%. He knows losing is part of the deal and he also knows he'll be the first to go sub 3.26, so he just keeps on going, doing what he loves best.
I don't expect this sub to have common sense, but running your SB in the Championship final every single year is the furthest thing from a fluke. Likewise, Jakob not winning the 1500 3 years in a row is not a fluke either. Pay attention to patterns, sometimes multiple factors align. Furthermore Josh literally ran a fantastic mile at Pre and Jakob didn't even win this race so I don't know what your point is
Why would running his SB in the championship finals be something noteworthy when he races 3 times per year? Not like he has many opportunities to run fast
So weird how out of touch this forum is lmao it would be one thing if these dumb posts were getting downvoted but you Jakob nut garglers are like giddy at the fact that Kerr had one bad race when he's still owned Jakob 3 of the last 4 times they've faced.
People seriously upvoting things that say "it was clearly a fluke"
Ya man that established pattern over the last multiple world championships and olympics was just a years long fluke! One of those classic 3 year flukes you know

hey man maybe you're just a dumb person but peaking at championship finals is the goal no matter how many times you race. hope this helps!

Did I say otherwise? I asked why it would be noteworthy with how little he races. His last PR was from Tokyo finals, has he spent 4 years peaking for the next Olympics?
So this is why he always duck 😂 Neguse is officially in the mix now! Bring on Tokyo next year
Incorrect. Kerr is fried, Yakup is sick and Cocker ever winning anything was a fluke…..and speaking of Cocker, I finally figured out who he reminds me of.
Kerr losing two of last three to Ingebrigtsen. Washed.
Nuguse vs Jakob 2:1
Hocker vs Jakob 1:2

Hocker still #1 due to Olympic tie breaker
