Kerr likes the way Ingebrigtsen dress. That’s the most positive thing he has to say about the man that paced him to a 3,27 pb. Jakob’s answer on the other hand, was both more honest and classy.

I wonder if Kerr's answer would've been different (maybe more genuine) had JI gone first. As is, he comes across as a huge loser.
Jakob has made it pretty clear that he respects Kerr's ability as a runner, but that he also puts a ton of value on showing up and racing. And he clearly looks down on Kerr's season schedule.
You can agree or disagree (I agree), but at least he's honest. I don't know that I understand what Kerr has against Jakob besides not liking how he acts?

Well, Jakob called Kerr "the next guy" after he won in Budapest. That obviously got to him. But at that time, Kerr was "the next guy". He is a much stronger racer now, and I think he will win tomorrow. Regarding their comments this winter, Kerr was right when he said that Jakob has his weaknesses and is vulnerable in a race that is not paced. But now it seems like Kerr has a much bigger problem with Jakob than Jakob has with Kerr. That said, Jakob stated to Norwegian media that Kerr's answer about the way he dresses, "says a lot about him".
First, Colin Jackson was excruciating in the big interview. He was asking such basic questions about running 1500m. He didn't even ask their thoughts on why all four decided to come back for this race or if they had reflected anymore on the Olympic final. There's so much he could have asked, like how Hocker feels to be elevated to the point where he's one of the big guns who gets wheeled out for these DL press conferences. Such as wasted opportunity.
I think Kerr just went for the jokey response to the question about what he likes about Jakob. He's said a lot of good things about Jakob as a racer in the past. Still, I liked Jakob's sincere response more. I didn't really like his response to he question about the 3k record, he was a bit sh1tty to the journalist which was unnecessary. Then again, he had to sit through 20 minutes of Colin Jackson's inane questioning so he might just have wanted out of there

Totally agree about Colin Jackson. Where do they find these interviewers? So many lost possibilities. (Yeah, I know who Colin is.)
However, I really liked Jakob's answer about the 3000 record. To me it showed that the record was important to him - but not THAT important. He has big plans for many more records.
Jakob responding with Kerr giving it is all when it matters really made Kerr’s initial answer look immature. Kerr can hate Jakob all he wants, but anyone level-headed in athletics can say that Jakob has a better quality/trait than his clothing style. I’m sure he meant to be funny, but boy did that backfire.

I can agree completely, missed opportunity for serious questions, on the other hand he didn't even make a fun discussion. Neither of the two. Maybe the race will be more interesting.
