Just saw via his social media Centro ran a 22.59 mile training run in 2:11 in Fort Utah which is at 4500ft altitude. Not a half decent marathon training run!

It is 5:48 pace so it is a workout that 97% of posters couldn’t do in a race.
Would be weird to see a speed based miler become a marathoner - but I guess we've seen crazier things?
I think he has been training with Habatmu Cheney, Keira D'Amato, and the rest of that non-Mantz/Young Eyestone pro group?
22 at 5:49 is definetely a marathon training run though......

His next move is to ultra, he'll be one of the fastest closers.
He said on the LRC podcast that he was going to run the Chicago ‘Thon, but wasn’t sure how serious or competitive he will approach it. Hopefully, he finds he still has the fire to run at high level and discover he has untapped potential.

Agree with everything but calling it woke. It is just doping officials looking the other way and they never call out your heroes for doping until they test positive

He’s been on record lamenting a move up to the 5,000m distance despite his 13 minute run in 2019 and nothing would make me happier to find out that he transitions to the Marathon in some great undercover surprise.
and at 5’9”, his build might even be more optimal for the longer distances?

Whatever dope she's done in her career, the point is a good miler running the marathon obviously isn't unprecedented, probably not even that weird.

Why would it be "weird?"

Hassan was always a 15/5 runner. Centro was an 8/15 runner for the majority of his career.

Please review Hassan’s race results from 2015-2017.
