The article is poorly written. The author seems to only find the man being burnt distressing.

Absolutely sickening. I hope there's a chance of a reasonable recovery. This is one of the most disgusting crimes I can conceive of.

This is awful. I know it isn't the most important thing, but was this her husband or a boyfriend she was seeing on the side? The article seems to discuss two men, but I am having a hard time understanding if this was a domestic dispute between husband/wife or a situation where an extramarital boyfriend was involved. Lastly, it is barbaric to burn someone. You have to be an absolute creature to do something like this.

saw her when she won her event at the world trail running championships in chiang mai, 2022. she ran the up and down trail. that event weekend was memorable for the ugandans, because for the uphill trail, all 3 of the ugandan men failed to start, because their team had misunderstood the course route and driven them up to the finish line, at the top of the mountain, not the start (at the bottom of the mountain).

It needs to be made clear that women face dv everywhere in the world. It’s not just “these places”. And everywhere in the world, they are dismissed and blamed.

in Colorado there’s a story of a man who raped his own daughters, and he currently roams free because he’s a cop, while his ex wife sits in jail for refusing to agree to therapy for him and their sons.

there was that horrible story of an abusive Utah man who abused and murdered his whole family about a year ago.

just recently Kara Welch a gymnast was killed by her boyfriend in Wisconsin.

Some men have issues with women being higher profile and making more money. End result is domestic violence.

This is horrifying. What the hell is wrong with that guy to go that route to resolve an argument. Absolutely terrible tragedy. Maybe the hospital should refuse treatment and let him treat his own burns for being a f***ing psychopath.
