For those curious, some US runners will be competing in a mile 8/21 in Sweden. Some names are Henes (as pacer), Bush, Schlachtenhaufen, markezich, Hurta-Klecker, Steelman, 2 Neilsons, Andrws, Camp-Bennett, and also Ramsden. Oh and there is Tuohy as well.

Tuohy and Markevich should be a good race (the 2 young Americans both in their off event). I'd assume they'd be in 4:19-4:21 shape?

Well I guess we will find out. Tuohy just finished a stint of training in Flagstaff so who knows what she is ready for. My guess with Henes as pacer the 1st 800 won't be blazing fast 4:20 pace seems reasonable.

BTW, Gabs Jennings ran a huge 4:23 PB, along with Dani Jones, over the weekend but it hasn’t shown up yet on the WA iaaf site.

I can only guess, but for some maybe they wanted to get a block of training in, and now this is the start of a few races in Europe where there are a few meets in the next month with 3000s or 5000s or mile/1500s.

Jennings drops a 6s PB in the mile at the age of 25.
I think there might be more there. A search indicated she was a bit of a phenom in the 5th grade down in Louisiana (milesplit).

i wonder if any will run in the Diamond League in Zurich a week later. I notice Elly Henes is just pacing, seems like a long way to travel just to pace. Zurich is just a 2 hour flight away from Sweden.

Was wondering if that was a World Athletics official race. There wasn't a rail, though they did put in cones. That being said, Jennings really does run on the line or inside of the lane habitually including in the race. I've seen it been made fun of in some of the workout videos they do.

Kind of crazy, but just from a small video clip, it appears Jennings led a lot of that race. Wonder what she could do now with pacers and lights?

There is also a 5000 in Dresden on the 30th if Zurich does not work out for some.
