3rd to resign. Unlike Claudine Gay she was actually qualified, but her handling of the protests was incredibly poor by coddling the encampments.

Are all three women?
Why is this news on a running board? I graduated from Columbia 7 years ago and have no clue who this resigning president was, and I won’t go posting about it here when the president of whatever school you attended decides to step down.

Coz the redneck incels that abound here take great pleasure in the misery of anyone they view as the other side, which is any one or a combination of highly educated, woman, person of color, liberal etc. An Ivy president’s resignation is always a cause of celebration for them. It doesn’t matter who the president is. If the new president resigns in say a week, they’ll again rejoice.
The Olympics just wrapped, and we've got DL starting back up
Stop putting this crap on the homepage, Brojos. It's not like this is even a popular thread...

I'm not sure sending the NYPD to arrest a bunch of her own peacefully protesting students was coddling. It was this decision that sparked a national protest movement on college campuses btw. Good riddance to her.

Yeah, is this intentional on their part? It's really odd. It's not even the type of thing where they will generate much engagement
Shafik caught flak from both sides. Lefties were upset because she didn't give in to protester demands, and then allowed NYPD in to make arrests and clear the encampment. Right wingers were quick to condemn academic lefties for the protests and so blamed her with all the others.
Sounds like she felt the job just wasn't worth the trouble. Can't blame her.
Btw, she was right to call in the police. There were hundreds of non-students mixed in with the protesters. Those trespassers needed to be removed from campus along with any students creating an unruly unsafe situation on campus. She's responsible for the school, students, and faculty. She did the right thing there.

All 3 non Jews. Gay, Magill, and Shafik
Believe that leaves the Ivies without a non Jewish president:
Harvard has Garber;
Dartmouth has Bielock
Cornell has Pollak
Brown has Paxson (converted to Judaism);
Princeton has Eisgruber;
Columbia -- No president
Yale -- Salovey
Penn -- No president (has an interim one -- Jameson -- not Jewish).
I know. It's anti-semitic to notice

How about you build your own running site, then you can determine what content is displayed on the homepage.
