Sedjati has just confirmed that he will be doubling in future championship. 800M and 1500M while responding to Algerian (DZ) Press after his disappointing bronze medal in 800 M. Where he was unable to reproduce his personal best and was pushed from third to fifth in the 800M all time list.
which ban? As per DZ (Algerian) press Sedjati was subjected to five doping tests which they think is excessive and prejudicial. So he was competing under a cloud. If there was something he would not have been allowed to compete in the 800. And would not have been favourite coming in.
More likely his performances will decline now that he is being scrutinized closely.
But if he starts to dominate both the 800 and 1500, then I'm giving up on this sport. If Wayonyi decides to double too, then we're worse than the Ramzi era.
What makes you think Wayonyi and Sedjati are dirty but Hocker Kerr and Hodgkinson are clean? At least Wayonyi you can attitude his success to life long exposure to altitude as well as running genes. What do the likes of Hocker have to get to the top.
Refer back to the many posts I've made here explaining why.
Wayonyi's coach has had at least 6 athletes banned, was arrested for administering EPO to athletes, has installed a blood testing machine in his camp so he can test athletes daily to ensure they don't record suspicious ABP readings. Wayonyi comes from desperate poverty (even by kenyan standards) and runs to literally feed his family, and represents a country with nearly 400 doping busts. Was merely a promising county level runner as a teen until he linked up with his coach, and then promptly won the World U20 championships (previous winners include Amos - banned, Kipketer - banned, Bett - banned).
Do you detect a subtle difference there between Kerr and Hodgkinson?
Susjati, what more needs to be said? He missed a test during these Games, leading French prosecuters to raid his room and seize the computer of his coach (who coached the 2000 women's 1500m champion who came out of nowhere to win at the height of the full throttle era at age 30, then retired).
Can you please list these 6 athletes and what level of success this 6 athletes, had under that doping scheme. Or you are just conflating one thing to diminish another. And they have no relation.

BrycEPO hOPEl was rubbing ~1:42 a few months ago and then suddenly ran ~1:41...
Coevett can go to hell. If his coach had had 6,000 athletes banned, then we might take it seriously, otherwise he's just conflating one issue with the undeniable Alan Wells GB State Sponsored Doping Program that seeks to deny us the thrill of watching Sedjati and Wayonyi running 1:39 and 3:22!!
