They'll probably just pay a money hungry hotel owner a million plus bucks to house the homeless there by that point. Then the homeless degrade the hotel rapidly and it shuts down completely, eventually demolished vacant building filled with dead roaches and bed bugs. They do that in other places already. That's what the left likes to do with your hard earned tax money.
Luckily there's no Olympic venues in skid row. The distance between venues and lack of public transportation between them and general walkability doesn't lend itself to a great Olympics like Paris or London. Also not looking forward to baking in the sun in the Coliseum all day.

And taste-making in music and food, low-riders, etc. It's not classy and refined, for the most part, and I think they'll embrace that, for the most part. Maybe the opening ceremony will incorporate smog and a traffic jam. Sounds pretty entertaining.

The IOC needs to be more flexible about hosting dates with how hot summer is getting and Brisbane 2032 should've been allowed to host a bit later (it's gonna be cold! especially any outdoor night sessions 🥶)
