anyone know where to watch the BBC or Eurosport calls without a VPN? I won't be able to mess around and set one up till the weekend... guess I should bookmark this thread for future reference.
Not listened yet a but I get impression cram not a big fan of Kerr. Cram commentary on pre classic mile was almost one of disappointment when Kerr won. Understand he lost his record but still.
They cut out everything Paula said for the condensed clip, and that was fine, actually, ha. Steve Cram really does call it well, with lightning recall/reflex—seeing everyone. That's sort of lacking with Leigh Diffey who's always finishing up a sentence while something else is going on as he ends one thought. He can't see all the angles and gaps and moves like a veteran 1500m runner can.
Clip has Kerr and Ingy interviews too. Shows Jakob wasn't skulking away or anything.

Thank you for that opportunity!
The CBC feed with Rob Walker failed today, but in this CBC article, they have a race replay with unknown commentators:
American Cole Hocker delivered one of the all-time Olympic shocks when he won the 1,500-metres gold with a stunning finish to blast past British world champion Josh Kerr as defending champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen faded to fourt...

I doubt that. Cram was literally speechless for several seconds after Hocker won, and sounded a bit deflated, but being a professional, he quickly gathered himself again.
You have to turn the VPN on to UK BEFORE you click on the BBC link. If you're already in the BBC site and then turn on the VPN, it detects it. Anyway, great commentary, and great links to the BBC interview as well. Thanks BBC and thanks Letsrun for posting this!
I don't have a VPN on this laptop... but for whatever reason when I watched the race on peacock on my phone, the call was not by Diffey and Kara but by a british guy (Cram?) and Carrie Tollefson -- was that Cram? who kept pronouncing Hocker like Hoe-ker?
