Jakob is really in his head. Whether or not he deep down wants Jakob to come in dead last, it's kind of weird that this is top of mind for him and something he blurts out during the rounds.

Its incredible how Nordås seems completely unable to not start any drama. It was one of his main messages going into the olympics that all the drama cost him a lot of energy the last couple championships, so this time he would focus on himself and not talk about anything other than his races.

But as it have happened before, once he feels confident after a race he can't help himself. This is something he ends up regretting as his adrenaline fueled statements stirs up a lot of attention from the press, which focuses on that throughout the championship. This pressure from the press is something that he handles particularly bad and drains a lot of energy from him.

There is a lot more to be an athlete than just the physical stuff, it must be a headache for those in his team to see him self-sabotage like this.

Its also been a focus for the norwegian team as a whole, as stuff like this is completely unnessesary and just a drain on the whole team.

While I initially rooted for him as I am Norwegian, I can't really say that I am a particular fan of him because of things like this. He have said it himself, that he and J.Ingebrigtsen have a non existing relationship now, so I cant see any reason why he have to bring him up constantly like this. There was a time when J and his brothers welcomed Nordås into their training group, when he was a nobody, you would believe that would be enough for him to keep his thoughts about Jakob off behind closed doors - or at least off camera.

Except for me, I swore my allegiance to Team GB's Josh KERR because of his authenticity, sincerity, magnanimity, gentility, manners, ethics, moral behavior and downright gregarious and effable nature on top of being the best 1500m runner in the modern era with the best biomechanical movement and sequence!!!!!!
