Awful tactics, all looked completely cooked. All 3 of them should get a lot of heat for this terrible running seeing as Cam Myers didn't go despite qualifying.

Probably a time zone acclimation issue.
Probably not seeing as they've all been in Europe for months.

you realize they have the Rep round still?

Cam Myers lost basically all races vs all 3 of them whole year and was average at all B level European meets he competed in, no reason to believe he would have done better.
Yea but all 3 of them look gassed already.
I have nothing against Australia though I listened to Citius’ distance preview and the Aussie guy did seem a little delusional about the team they were sending. Certainly Repechage was expected for Spencer based on form and Stewy based on his finish. Hoare is the big surprise.
All 3 don't have big kicks on world stage. Terribly disappointing but nothing new.

Haha, that’s terrible then
Free my boy Cam, sack the selectors, specialists in failure.
I love Stewy as much as the next guy but I do not need to see him in another major champs 1500m. It's the same race every single time and it does not work against guys with any sort of kick.
Happy to see him doing miles/1500 on the DL circuit but we've seen enough Stewy in 1500m majors.
Let the next guy have a crack and please move up

What are you suggesting was wrong with Spencer's tactics?
It looked like he was well positioned, patient, and reacted to every move.
Spencer looked the best of the Aussies. McSweyn ran exactly as expected. Hoare looked heavy legged. I can't see any of them getting through to the final. The 1500 is particularly competitive - Habz didn't get through and he's faster this year than any of our guys.
They’ve had an absolute shocker.
Times weren’t even that quick. They just froze.

Might not have, but he's the guy who might be contesting for gold medals over the next decade. Olympics only comes round once every four years. Experience would have been invaluable for 2028.
They were f*cking rubbish.

He wouldn’t have qualified either.
Awesome talent and it would have been fun to see him race, but it’s not like he’s won any of the head to heads.
Funny thing is that absolutely no one was eliminated from the men's 1500 meters today.
Regardless it was a poor showing that not one of our runners could finish top 6 in the heat. Ollie seemed the run the same stupid way he did back at 2022 world champs. Must be nerves/lack of confidence which is evident when you hear him speak
Agree, Oliver Hoare missing out on auto qualification shocked me, it's like saying Josh KERR not winning the olympic gold, I'm just shocked Noah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And btw Noah, did you watch my guy Josh KERR levitating around the track in his heat 1 race????? I was so stoked and impressed because I have said in the past 1 month that the hallmark of a gold medal winner would be the ability to open up his legs the widest and cover the most real estate per stride in the 1500m at the same cadence frequency as the rest of the runners, both throughout the race and at the final 100m sprint!!!!!! Because that's the most EFFICIENT WAY TO MOVE IN THE 1500m.
So you saw with your eyes right dear Noah????????????
My guy Josh KERR bounded from one foot to the other with such immense power, strength and energy he had at least 1.5 times the flight-time and stride length respectively compared to Jakob in his heat 3. I observed it with my eyes and my eyes DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 4/6 vision, no astigmatism no myopia, just a perfect lens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
