For those who can't read - Titmus just won 2 GOLD MEDALS and the media asked if she was upset she didn't break her own world medal. She said it's hard to perform when they are sleeping on cardboard boxes, no air conditioning, crappy food options, and no transportation available.
Her coach then WENT CRAZY and shamed her (REMEMBER - SHE WON 2 GOLD MEDALS SO PERFORMED VERY WELL).
From the coach:
'It's about how you manage yourself and whatever environments are presented, whatever the beds are, whatever the food is, everybody deals with it.'
'The Olympics has always been this way and that's the way it is. And that's the beauty of it.'
Taylor added the Australian Olympic Committee has gone the extra mile for the athletes, whether it's arranging private transport, providing a barista to make coffee, organising extra food and air conditioning.
'It's just been dealt with,' Taylor said.
'The first few days, transport is always a challenge. The food, there's many options. The AOC has got a pantry for food, but they have options right there, you've got multiple different sites to go and eat.'
'The biggest thing for them is to swim down, get some massage and some food, and get back in their beds as quickly as possible.'
He's a COLOSSAL D-Bag. "SWIM THEN GO IMMEDIATELY BACK TO BED". Dude she literally did what you asked, she beat everyone else dealing with the same conditions. So she has a ton of credibility when she speaks up and says the athletes are treated like crap.
Cardboard beds, vegan food, and no air conditioning - all to protect the environment while the Olympic Committee is always traveling the world in private jets. While the Olympics bulldoze useful land to build a massive stadium only to be used for 2 weeks during the Olympics and then never again. Drop the facade of being environmentally friendly and just make the best damn environment for the athletes to perform to the highest extent of human limits.
