What percent of medalists have a TUE?

What percentage of track and field athletes have TUE?
More informative study would be on % of medalist with long term TUE and information by country
Interesting, but it would be far more helpful if we knew who the 0.9% were and what they had TUEs for.
69% or the global medalists from norway in winter sports….i would guess that it is something similar in track&field, Jakob/henrik/filip/narve are taking asthma meds. Warholm doesn’t though.

Yes, or at least a country by country comparison.
WADA knows dam good and well the athletes are doped, but anything they can do to make the public think they don't is the agenda.
WADA, We don't buy what your selling.
Open your books or shut your mouth.
Telling 1/2 a truth is still a lie if it distorts the real picture.
athletes self reporting of PED use would suggest, they are using.
and they don't need a TUE to do this
Exactly. Drop the names and subject them to public scrutiny. My guess is athletes would be much more reluctant to request TUE is they knew there was full transparency.

It's funny how those afflicted with severe asthma are often the best endurance athletes. I remember Chris Froome had like 10x the normal amount of salbutamol in his system during some of the grand tours and people just sort of turned a blind eye... "it was only 2x the absolute maximum limit". Justifying nonsense drug abuse.

You don't need a TUE for:
- the four common *inhaled* Beta 2 agonists: albuterol (aka salbutamol/ventolin),
formoterol, salmeterol, vilanterol, as long as it's below the max dose 1600mcg/24hr and evenly spaced.
- all inhaled beta-2 agonists e.g. Fluticasone (Flovent HFA, Arnuity Ellipta, others)
Budesonide (Pulmicort Flexhaler), Mometasone (Asmanex Twisthaler), Beclomethasone,
Ciclesonide (Alvesco)
TUE is needed for injection (as Wiggins got during TdF), or if you also need diuretics.
More like 40% of POC athletes in the US seem to have a TUE.
