The article says (1) she is a fifth-year student and (2) she entered the portal in 2023, so from this we can deduce that she likely spent four years at Duke, and thus likely earned a degree.

the article says she graduated before transferrrng (though it could be imprecise). but TFRRS at roberts she went from SR-4 at duke not to another SR-4 -- usually how grad students show up -- but to JR-3. but her field of study at roberts on her bio is exercise science. exercise science is a bachelor's program there normally.
so either D2 lets you do a second undergrad degree or just "take classes" in a 5th year, or they like made her a special grad degree or something. or she pulled something but i'd swear that for the others if you finish, you're done short of grad school. and if i was in the conference or nationals she won, i'd ask some questions.
i mean i thought maybe she'd done something clever like leave herself 3 credits or so shy of duke and with their blessing go do a 5th year of undergrad working on a second major at this other place, perhaps with the winking idea she could transfer the last credits back to duke from roberts and graduate "later" from both places, if she really wants to.
this to me is odder, if i'm competing and still in school i am adding a grad degree for when sports are over.
but if you make the olympics off the gambit, it kinda worked. and this would be a great calling card for shur as PV coach.
