Some of you are beyond stupid. Athing Mu is 22. When you are as decorated as she is in Olympic and World Championship glory, at her age, and then she has a rocky patch, this is not shocking. I imagine some of you never competed at a level where maintaining high performance could be challenging. She just sort of jogged in a 2:00xx 800m. She probably has little motivation to do a local play when she has starred on Broadway. Just relax.

Yeah this would have made a lot more sense if she didn't just bomb out of the olympic trials. You'd think that if she actually cared about performing at a high level she would take all her (very few) races these days seriously

No one wants to talk about this but she looks a lot...doughier than her 2021 physique. More thicc.
FWIW I always thought that Mu matured unusually quickly as an athlete, maybe due to her extensive collegiate racing performances, compared to Keely. It was obvious at the last Olympics and second most recent Worlds that Mu was just physically more mature than Keely. Perhaps Mu has just peaked and is now more comparable to a late twenties or thirty year old runner losing her speed.
