you could kill someone on a bike. look at the speed they go, all the crashes that have happened and that could happen.

plus in cycling they all have the same dealers, in track they don't share the same suppliers.

I agree it's nice to see the respect Pogacar and Vingegaard have. However, Jakob and Kerr is a bad comparison. Jakob is just being himself - if you watch Team Ingebritgsen, he is the same person he was when he was 14. Loads of confidence, but it's earned.

I think if Kerr wasn't constantly dodging him there would be a lot more mutual respect. I think Jakob respected Tim when he was beating him in 2019 and if someone else was showing up at all the Diamond leagues and regularly challenging Jakob, he'd respect them. But no one is, he is on a different level overall. Let's see what happens over the next few years.

I think there is more inherent respect between riders than runners. All of them have been through brutal injuries and know what is like to have to come back from them. Running doesn’t not have this equivalent.
