Uruguayan soccer players go into stands and start fighting with fans to protect their children (videos)

The guy trying to punch Nunez should be jailed for a long time. What kind of coward tries to mess with a players wife and baby? Especially after they won? I mean, what the heck?

Security was really poor here, but the Uruguayan players way crossed the line. In some videos you can see family being escorted onto the field but after that, Nunez is going into the crowd to fight peopl on his own, Bentancur is throwing bottles, Nunez also tried to throw a chair.

It's all a bit ridiculous.

Darwin Nunez, you're paid 140,000 pounds a week; that should be enough of a punch in the face to any slobby opposition fan.

Soccer fans outside the US go crazy for their national teams. This isn't just a South American phenomenon. England fans flood continental Europe for matches, and they don't exactly have the best rep, either.

Agreed on security being incredibly lax, Charlotte was not prepared for that. I think the World Cup will be ran much better vs. CONMEBOL which is doing a poor job.

None of this nonsense has anything to do with me. Soccer is a boring sport. No wonder family boxing happens there. People are bored.

Also, grid iron sucks (12 minutes of game time in a 3 hour broadcast), basketball is like the world's worst game of ping pong, and baseball is about as captivating as watching paint dry.
