Episode 1 focused on Lyles and Jacobs. Spent a decent amount of time talking about Jacobs’ Olympic win but was surprised how they did not cover his rise as a sprinter (switching from long jump). For lyles, seemed weird they didn’t talk about his relative failure in Tokyo.
episode 2 focused on Sha’Carri and Shericka. Again, felt weird they didn’t really go into Sha’Carri’s up and down 2021 (win trials, suspended immediately after). Also found it odd they kept referring to Shericka as the “future” of Jamaican sprinting when she’s been around for awhile and was 28 when the filmed this.
in short, seems like they left quite a bit of compelling backstory and character development out. Spent a lot more time on performative chest thumping interspersed with loud hip hop music.

Found the 1st episode predictable and nothing really new.
The Formula 1 and Tour de France series are excellent. Sprint is not on that level.
I have always found Lyle's act tedious
Lance Bauman (Lyle's coach) reminds me of a used car salesman. A very sketchy guy
Leigh Diffy really is bad as an announcer

I watched the 1st 2 episodes.
My wife watched 1.5 of them. I'm going to save most of my commentary till I've watched them all.
As for Lance she said, "Do you know him?" I said "A little bit. That's who I went and watch coach in Florida. I liked him."
Lance is Southern. I wouldn't call him a used car salesman at all. He's very laid back. Used car salesmen are pushy right?
Random thoughts- Gabby Thomas is the face that shows up on the icon on Netflix when I push play. I found that odd as I thought this thing was focusing on the 100. Is she in the later episodes? She was a bit player in I think episode 1.
They do move stuff around for dramatic affect. I wonder if they'll have anything negative about anyone.

I'm 5 minutes in. I'm sure I'll watch it through but I wish this were about the 800, the 1500 and the 5/10 on the track. I'm not in the mood for this noise and thunder. I just watched The Bear, which was very stressful. Everything's so stressful. I just wanna hear the pitter-patter of some A-skips and someone lounging around in recovery pants full-on doubting themselves.
Fred Kerley's not into it. Says it's not about sprinting, it's a youtube doc. I like youtube docs. So not sure what he means. Like it's shallow and propaganda for some athletes? I'll have to watch. I've watched one episode. They did do some drills.
