It must be desperate times at the DC Roadrunners as after having Bill Rodgers and Rich Kenah as speakers in the past, I am the speaker at the annual dinner of the DC Roadrunners. Apparently, all the self promotion on this website as America's best mediocre runner (at least when I last raced 2 years ago) has caught the attention of someone.
So the question is, if I came to speak to your Running Club dinner, what would you want me to talk about? What do people usually talk about at these things? What do they do right? What do they do wrong?
I've been told to keep it short and open it up to questions by one friend of mine. In theory I'm supposed to be entertaining which could be tough. I'm used to speaking to kids about their training. Maybe I'll send Robert to pose as me.
Seriously, feel free to post or email me any suggestions.
