How to Watch US Trials Internationally?

NBC Sports will post the edited replays of the events they deem important enough on their youtube channel after the broadcast is over. There might be a podcast that hosts a private discord channel that shows races sometimes without the rights to it. I haven't been on it though to see.

If you want to watch it internationally, you simply pick a country, go to it and watch it from there.

Bumping this thread just once, since we're only a day away. By now I'm thinking there really isn't any official international broadcast/stream, but if there's any info otherwise, please share.

I'm frustrated. I get why NBC goes such lengths to geo-restrict Peacock -- many of its programs do have different rights-holders in other countries. But apparently there are no other rights-holders here. And yes, it's a U.S. event, but there's lots of interest among track fans globally. I thought FloTrack or RunnerSpace+ might have it for non-U.S. subscribers, but it doesn't seem so.

Since 2021 I’ve always been able to find the US Trials races uploaded to YouTube soon after they take place, so if you avoid the forum you can watch ‘as live’.

Yes, that's one fall-back option, although those videos often spoil the result by their title or thumbnail image.

Bit of a pain in the ass, but if you go to NBC.com using a VPN with US location, then make an account (doesn't require anything special, just make up a US zipcode), you get 30 minutes of a free preview when you click on a channel. Those 30 minutes seem to reset if you login again in an incognito window.

edit: might require more than incognito; deleting cookies seems to work as well. Switching browsers is another (limited) option.

After a bit more exploring, you don't even need a login for the channels we need. Just watch your 30 minutes, then delete the cookies for nbc.com and refresh (on chrome: settings -> privacy/security -> third-party cookies -> see all site data / permissions).

No, it works. Reset your cookies. When your free preview is over, then it will give you the screen requiring the TV provider (at which point you delete your cookies and refresh the page). Maybe this won't work for everyone, but it seems to be working for me (in Canada).

I go to NBC, I am on the preview and when I click to view any of the live sports it takes me to the "link provider" options.

It works for me. I just had the TV provider screen, then I deleted my cookies for NBC, hard refresh, and I'm good to go. Got my 30 minutes back.

I got Peacock just for todays heats and will cancel right after. I have a feeling someone will stream it on Youtube, maybe not live but shortly after.

I got ESPN+ last month just for the NCAA regionals only to find out someone uploaded it to Youtube a few minutes after each heat. coulda saved me a few bucks if I knew.

There is a way but it's kind of a pain... The difficulty with a VPN is that you cannot pay with a canadian credit card (or with Paypal). Virtual credit cards like US Unlocked are expensive to the point of being a scam.

The way that works (assuming you have an iPhone or are otherwise in the apple ecosystem)

Create a US iTunes account using a VPN. Then buy a US iTunes gift card code through a website like offgamers (be careful not to buy a canadian gift card...) Load card into your US account and do the peacock subscription through iTunes.

The whole thing is so complicated that you might as well just stream though...
