Mixed bag for leachman today. DNF between 3400 and 3800.
Still managed to split 9:17.80 which is exactly 0.01 faster than Ritz's 9:17.81 from Penn relays.
Obviously 3200 times have been faster than this, but its still a great result.
Looks like she went out way too hard and blew up -

Her first 1600 was sub 4:50 AND she was running in the second lane. That's right around 15:00 pace! There was no way she was going to get a good result going out that fast.
She has admitted that she has a hard time controlling her emotions telling her to go out really fast, and this is one of those times that she let her emotions get the best of her. If she hadn't stopped running it would have been NXN all over again.
The poster(s) is a guy whose normal screen name is "the430miler". He hates Elizabeth Leachman, and he uses many screen names to make up negative things about her. And then he uses lots of IP addresses from his VPN to upvote his lying posts and downvote anyone who says the truth.
Then he registers any anonymous screen names who call him out on his shady behavior. He truly is nuts!
He got caught and then banned for several months for doing this to Elizabeth Leachman before but for some reason the Brojos recently decided to let him post again. He should still be banned.
She most likely makes the Usatf 5000 anyway. There were not many great times this weekend that would push her out at 15:25. Q window now closed.
Quite a few women would have to decide not to run the 5K at the Trials for Leachman to get in. We'll have to wait and see.
According to a poster in another thread, 13 women would have to decide not to run the 5k at the Trials in order for Leachman to get in. I don't think that's going to happen.
Did you guys not watch the race? She was in medical after dropping out for quite some time. I don’t think she’s racing the rest of the year due to injury. gOAT year however, 9:43 and 15:25 + Foot Locker Champ.

I watched her race and the races after. There was nothing about her being attended to by a medical professional.
