William Winter, true freshman at Virginia Tech has gone 3:44/1:50 so far this outdoor season after being a 4:22 (1600) and 1:54 guy in high school. Definitely someone to keep an eye on over the next 4 years

Why is he underlooked and not overlooked?
Thanks for letting us know William!
I mean if he was a 1:54 guy in high school why was his 1600 so slow? I ran 2:02 and just a couple seconds slower over 1600.
Payton Mauldin of Dordt. Dude ran 1:15 to win the 600 and was jogging the last 10 meters or so. He's got 46 400 speed and has ran 1:49 in the 800. With 1:15, he could definitely run 1:47 this year.
With such a large jump, I would not expect any more improvement. He likely made a big jump in training and cut some weight.
Letsrun.
Has run. Not has ran.
Congrats Will!

So have 20 other freshman in the NCAA. No one is special.
