CL has long been out, idk what he is even doing there, at 10.83.
Su was injured too, imo he’s done, CHN is too deep now, unless he was just testing his legs.
ADG his usual self, I guess that’s good to see since he’s had success with it. MIGHT still be a 200m factor, rocking back-and-forth on accel as he does.
Jacobs is a surprise—but, then again, not really 😁
Since the games are in Paris someone in the French federation talked Lemaitre into attempting a comeback. He actually looks pretty good in his recent workouts for a guy away for a few years though his musculature is smaller and softer looking. If he can get fast enough they may put him on the relay in the early round. Of course they are hoping he can run the 200 fast enough to get to the final.
Looking like it may be a special year in the 100m. 1-2 will get injured (Yohan already has a hamstring tweak.) 1-2 will peak too early. The remaining top dogs should end up putting on a good show. Lyles may have a shot at 9.58.
Clown has no shot at 9.58.
I am also not a fan but when he ran 9.86 a couple of years ago his start and acceleration phase were atrocious, which is why I think he actually has a chance at the record. He is stronger now, at a peak age, and his 9.96 opener indicates he should have a great year. He will be tough to beat.
