Nico and Colin are both DNS in the 3000. Exciting! maybe they'll run the 800, or are they already on the way to Whataburger.
I'd say they ran the 800:
Colin looks like legit Oly Trials 1500 challenger.
Nico just keeps astounding.
Sahlman runs a 1:45 in the 800. wow. l Nico at 1:47.
Finished Results slow to update from live results.
Colin FTW in 1:45.+
Nico in 1:47.+
Here we go:
Colin is obviously having a terrific outdoor season but I'll be surprised if he is able to hang with the big boys at the trials. I'm sure Coach Smith has factored the trials into his training for both Nico and Colin. However, Colin has already run some fast times and it's not even May. Can he hold his peak through both the NCAAs and OT? Also, he'll have to go through rounds at both the NCAAs and OT. That's where strength plays a role. This is one post where I hope he proves me wrong but as they say, "we shall see."
Colin's 800 is a school record. he now owns the 800 and 1500 school recrd and he's only a sophomore. wonder how many more times he breaks them before he's through.
