Most letsrun posters are savvy, more than you'd think. 98 percent of the time, we -- and by we, I mean you and me, both -- can look at a performance and know whether the athlete is doping. We all have our time limits, how fast we think humans can run without drugs. What are those limits in your mind?
For example, any American/European/non-East African 5k I see that's sub-13:10, I get pretty suspicious. For some, that limit might be faster, but that's the cutoff for me. East Africans, I figure, can run a little faster. Low 13s are pretty sus, and sub-13:00 is definitely unachieveable without performance enhancing drugs.
What is your cutoffs? I mean, can you look at any sub-13:00 and say, well, I think THAT guy did it clean. I really don't think so. And you can go through every event and draw lines in the sand, right?
