This question might get asked a lot, but I just ran a 5:00/10:56 for the 16/3200m and am wondering, are these times good for a freshman? I also just turned 14 last month so I'm younger than all the other freshman on the team.

"Is this time good for a ____?" is always hard to answer. The fastest freshmen in the country run under 4:20 for 1600m. If you take out the 15-year olds, its probably a bit slower but still under 4:30. There are 8th grade girls running under 4:50. Running fast times at an early age is a sign of talent, but it can also be a sign that you matured relatively early. 5 mins at your age is a solid time, but what really matters is if you keep working to improve.
Yes, those are good times for someone who just turned 14, especially if you are new to running. Great job! Keep on going!
Thank you for the answers!
