Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?

What if I put a long skinny helium filled balloon up my anus before running - would that allow me to run faster?

Yes. And it would have a big advantage over the aerial balloon method because you would be less prone to being blown off course🤷

There is no rule if hid a couple of wheels planted on your VF. Gravity is your friend on those downhills. VF 30%

i forget which company it was back in the 90's but instead of air in the soles like nike air, they sold shoes with helium in the soles.

Try walking in the store first. My experience is that it drags behind instead of lifting. Try putting it in your shirt over the belly and walking out.

What a stupid thought, the drag would be insurmountable, you would go slower and fatigue faster.

Would this be true if there was a tailwind faster than the speed you are running?

A tailwind would be affecting you as well as the balloon and while it would make it easier to go faster and further, it would do nothing to reduce the drag and you would still go faster without the balloon and having the same tailwind. No amount of lift from the balloon will overcome the drag caused by it. Are you playing dumb or actually dumb?
