after watching last night's race some things stood out.
slow start, Parker got boxed in immediately. she tailgated the pacers, as if she wanted them to pick it up. and when the second pacer stopped she literally fell over from exhaustion, which tells me she was a poor choice to pace. the slow traffic didn't move into lane 2 when Parker lapped them, forcing Parker to constantly swing wide. ran the entire last 5K alone, nobody with her to push the pace or take a turn up front. no pace lights, which are a great way to gauge where you need to be. watch the men's 10K at the Ten, every time the lights started to get away from them someone immediataly stepped up.
despite all that she still ran a fabulous race, but as talented as she is she needs to run with pros, this sort of field doesn't help her progress.
