I want to upvote you for spreading news but downvote for how awful this is so I'll just stay neutral.
Nobody should be spending more money on a niche sport than watching MLB/NFL/Soccer games all in one. Also their pricing model is insane. Nobody else has a monthly bill 3x their annual bill. What a joke for the sport.
While the price ($90 increase) is a major negative, there are a few major positives: -Assuming we will go back to the World Feed instead of NBC's ad-laden coverage, which cuts out field events -Subscribers are basically fully covered on pro/college track with Commonwealth Tour Gold, Diamond League, most of the big college stuff, many of the big Marathons and so on -Seems like cancelling Peacock will be on the table for track fans, as everything they will have will be on broadcast going forward
So, I think the product will improve for hardcore track fans, and really the main annoying player left is RunnerSpace.
While some skepticism is definitely warranted, FloTrack wholesale takes the international feeds (e.g. Hutchings, Cram, England et al) for Commonwealth Tour Gold and World Major Marathons. That means no commercials and knowledgable commentators who aren't perfect, but are pretty dang good. I'd expect the same for the Diamond League coverage.
We can only hope. I won't tolerate their usual coverage: shot at ground level on an iPhone or from a guy that can't properly fly a drone, bad announcing that makes "Boom goes the dynamite!" kid sound like prime Bob Costas, and their trademark glitch/lag/blackout streams.
Flo track coverage is so bad they should be paying viewers to watch it, the only up side is uninterrupted coverage and no skipping the whole race on nbc videos.
This sucks. Peacock was great and very affordable. FloTrack will botch this like everything else they have ever touched.

Right, and what happened with the London Marathon last year? Oh, that's right, NO ONE COULD WATCH IT.
WAY too many technical issues when you’re paying over $30/month. I was really happy with how they covered the 2022 Penn Relays. But it’s been absolutely abhorrent since then. The London Marathon coverage was the l...
Chris Chavez and Ryan Fenton are crying into their diamond encrusted beers. They sold their souls for quick riches and jet-setting lifestyles. But now they are seeing that the sport is doomed because of their lust for power, money, women, and power.
These people aren't serious about growing the sport. Peacock isn't perfect but it's mainstream. They couldn't get Neflix, Tubi, Hulu, Apple TV, Paramount, ESPN, Prime, YouTube literally anything else?! Flo track is already $30/month with crap coverage and 90s quality. I am so angry for the US athletes. They deserve so much better than this. Real fans will keep using vpn anyway. Best way to do this would be to make a deal with YouTube showing the WA stream free with ads and no ads for YouTube premium subscribers. There...mass reach, done. The money will come from ticket sales, merch, etc. It's never going to be made from streaming anyway. Streaming should be seen as a funnel to get people to live events first. Jesus these people are stupid. It's like they want track to vanish. Makes me sick.

True, NBC was terrible, this may be an overall improvement
