That's like saying victims should not be compensated for crimes. If someone is doping they gained their medal by fraudulent means and their competitors did not have a fair chance to compete. They are the "victims" and the least that can be done is to compensate them belatedly with the medal that was stolen from them.

It’s not an alternate universe. Watch the race. She got 4th. She was 4th in Daegu as well. I don’t think 4th place runners should get medals.
Montaño is the gold medalist in my book. Besides 2nd being a doper, 1st and 3rd were men.
Looking back at the results, 5th place was also a man, and there were two other dopers. So 6th placer Janeth Jepkosgei is the silver medalist in my book, and the bronze would literally have to be someone from the semis. Only two legit runners in the finals lol.
