Seriously she takes shots from behind the arc too often, doesn’t follow her shots, whines for fouls, turns the ball over too much, sure she can shoot well sometimes but she has way too many glaring weaknesses that can’t be ignored.
I am not going to watch an entire women's basketball game. From various Youtube clips, she is good, good compared to other females. It is my opinion, female swimmers are some of the closest to their male counterparts. I don't believe women basketball players are close to male basketball players in basketball athletic ability.
Let me guess, you are one of the "keep men out of women's sport" people that is so concerned about men ruining women's sport, but then you are so stupid that you compare women's sports to mens and expect them to be at the same level or you are not interested.
She is good compared to other female athletes? Isn't that what you cry about incessantly? You are too stupid to even understand your own inconsistencies.
Why should she follow her shot? Many coaches expect outside shooters (from the wing and especially top of the key) to get back on defense, not to follow it.
Yes, she’s very good, but her game is incomplete and inconsistent. Too many times I’ve seen where she just keeps jacking up long range attempts, hoping that they start falling. That’s not the was a complete player goes about winning a championship.
Wow! You sure are angry. I simply answered the question. To give context, o.p. or someone else has a C Clark versus S Curry thread on the board. Women swimmers are about (5 to 7 1/2)% slower than male swimmers. Women T&F athletes are about (8 or 9)% inferior than males in running events. Female basketball players aren't close to males. I don't know how or why that hurts your feelings.

This. I've barely watched any women's b-ball until today and kept noticing Caitlyn launch it from 5+ feet behind the 3-point line at the end. It was like a desperate attempt. Glad to see SC win because I would much rather see a team go undefeated than all the focus be on 1 player. Even afterwards, the cameras were trained on Clark instead of focusing on the undefeated TEAM that just won a national title.
She’s certainly not perfect, but she led Iowa to the national championship game two years in a row. They never made it that far in the tournament before she got there.
Here’s what South Carolina coach Dawn Staley had to say after the game: "I wanna personally thank Caitlin Clark for lifting up our sport, she carried a heavy load for our sport, and it’s not gonna stop on the collegiate tour. When she's the number 1 pick in the WNBA draft, she's gonna lift that league up as well. So Caitlin Clark, if you're out there, you are one of the GOATs of our game.”
Caitlin Clark is a legend. She did not have anywhere close to the supporting cast South Carolina did. You can't do it all by yourself against a team that deep.

Exactly. It’s extremely difficult to win when your bench gets outscored 37-0.

You didn't answer the question, you just went into some BS about men being better than women. Is she overrated doesn't require a comparison or analysis of the difference between men and women. No one on this thread said anything about Steph so you are either illiterate or just f***ing stupid. Also, it doesn't hurt my feelings, nor am I angry that you are a dipsh*t, where did you see I said my feelings were hurt? It actually makes me smile that you are too f***ing stupid to understand simple things.

she scored 30 points in the title game on 10-28 shooting with 4 turnovers. only 5 points in the 4th quarter despite it being a really close game (within 6 points), and ZERO points in the last 7 min of the game.
A GOAT scores most their points in the 4th quarter, not the 1st quarter. She vanished in the most important part of the game. 28 shots to get 30 points is BAD efficiency.

What would a “complete” player have to do, like lead the NCAA in assists too? As in, on top of being the all time scorer?

Don’t be scared. she’s not interested in hurting you.
I don't owe you anything. I don't have to answer your questions.
> Iowa should not have gotten this far. LSU had the better team. Iowa won versus LSU fairly but LSU Coach Kim Mulkey is one of the worst in-game strategic coaches in college basketball or she was point-shaving. Haily van Lith should not have been guarding C Clark one on one for about 2/3rds of the game.
> Wasn't the game still going on when you ripped into me? You brought unneeded bad energy onto U. of Iowa women's basketball team.
> It's done. C Clark will be just one of the girls, WNBA.
Let's get back to weight lifting discussions, discussing 1/2 Marathons, Marathons and T&F.
