Coach Briana's rise in the sport is nothing short of inspirational. Coming into the sport as a Mile2Marathon athlete following a collegiate volleyball career to, almost overnight, winning national medals on the track and road...
I thought this was interesting. She didn't take running seriously until after college, when she retired from volleyball, now look at her times! She took 3rd in this 5K race despite falling down in the puddles at the Stanford track. She just got up and rolled with it, like a true volleyball star.

Briana Scott started her athletic career playing volleyball at McGill University. After that, she continued her schooling, stayed fit and flirted a bit with running half marathons and other fun races. However, her true love was found when she joined Mile2Marathon in her home province of British Columbia. She found out she was fast. And then she found out that the track was a really good time. A lot of passion and a dedicated postpartum comeback saw Briana making two national teams in 2023 and landing herself a spot on the start line of the 5000 metres in Paris. But it takes a village to make an Olympic dream possible, and Briana shares some of what it took to make hers happen.
Briana Scott's husband worked in Portland, Oregon, so she had access to the Nike Track in Beaverton in 2020. Those facilities and her Canadian coach inspired her to try the marathon and half marathon in her 30s (age). Follow Briana @_briana_scott Connect with Coach Briana at Mile2Marathon @mile2marathon
