10 minutes maybe or whatever you need to change into your running clothes.
Tooth extractions need a period of no intense exercise so the blood clot can form and heal properly. Fillings needing rest? Dont think so.

Are you training to pull a train car with your teeth for a Guiness World Record? 🙄

I'm a dentist. I might give it a couple of hours until any local anesthesia wears off, but after that you should be good to go, as long as you feel fine.
If the dentist is good, just drive right home and carry-on as usual.
Weird parody, Coevett. Everyone knows Brits don’t have dental work done.
it's been known for a while know that British people have significantly better teeth than Americans.
The results showed that the average number of missing teeth was 6.97 for English participants, but 7.31 for those in the US.
6-7 missing teeth is the average? What the heck are people eating and do they not brush and floss? I’m 53 and still have all my original teeth (3 fillings).
Lol that’s rich.
it's probably including wisdom teeth being removed. 6-7 minus 4 is only 2-3 which makes more sense.
Probably at least a month I wouldn’t want to overdo it
I personally get a little nauseous with local anesthesia, but not a debilitating amount.
At the worst, I just wouldn't do a workout that day because I don't want to get 2 reps into a workout and then bail on the day.
Just do an easy run that day if you have an reservations.
I have never missed a single training day, workout, or repetition for a filling or something so trivial as that.
"A few days' rest" ???
People really are soft these days.
You guys are confused.
Everyone know what Brits have better true dental health, while Yanks focus on orthodontics and cosmetics and having better appearing teeth.
It is not unusual for an American will have 10 fillings and still pay thousands of dollars for alignment and whitening, all while making fun of Brits' for having 'crooked teeth' ... while their own are literally rotting (but white!).
Signed, a Canadian, worst of both worlds.
Avoid sucking on anything bigger than 6 inches for a few days.
I really hate to be the bearer of bad news but dental fillings this is a serious operation I would say your running days are over I would consider retirement!
as soon as you get home from the dentist. and brushing your teeth once in a while.
