2021 didn’t break 1:50 in his first 800M of the year. Ended up in Tokyo.

much harder team to make this year, but I'd love to see him battling it out with the young guns in the final
If he can close in sub 1:49 he has a shot at making the team in the 1500 but I doubt he makes it out of the qualifying rounds. He’s done.

A great day for Mexican athletics! [Upside-down_exclaimation_mark]Viva la Raza!
In 2021 in Portland he entered 3 heats of the 800m and ran each around 1:50
Centro is BACK baby!

No he went like 1:51, 1:51, 1:53.
Looking forward to seeing him at the high stakes poker tables in Vegas sometime.
Plenty fine for March. Everybody knows how that first 800 feels.
2.5+ months to train and round into form
52.3-57.3 is a hard way to do it.
Maybe would have been 1:48 with better pacing but served as a good lactic test

His race is Men's 800M, Heat 2. About 4:21 on the Flotrack feed. He could have gone faster, got stuck in traffic at the end and looked comfortable, easing up.
Flotrack announcers seemed to have no idea who Centro was. Thought it might've been worth mentioning that there was an Olympic gold medalist in the race.

points to a 147 next time out . in a 53 plus 54 type race.
which closes the gap on the required 145 have a shot at the 1500 qualifier.
where you can see centro closing in 51 in a slow final, which will be very close to good enough.
still, he'll have to make that progress suggted. which will be the coaches plan.

Cant believe flotrack announcers called the solinsky 26:59 race and now we get constant garbage from them
Very encouraging. He's about as fast as Bannister.

Dumbstrong showing once again he knows nothing about training.
Gonna present him with this lovely sweatshirt at PTF if he shows up.

Bannister also ran those times as part of his training. You might not know this but he was a miler - like Centro.

With Jakob vs The Brits, there is no slow final this year. Keep dreaming.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
