I listen to him sometimes, but kind of find his show boring and repetitive. He also interviews just about anyone without questioning them: Christopher McDougall being one of the more annoying examples. David Goggins another. Mainly a lot of "yeah bro" type discussion. I will listen to this one. At least Kara was a great athlete and not some hype machine.

Kara is the only athlete that was a member of both Nike run programs and she only presses on one again and again. Both groups were proven shady and it makes Kara seem on a personal vendetta instead of a clean sport push.

The IVs to cover up doping have been around forever. I believe that is one of the reasons along with L-caritenne (spelling) that WADA doesn’t allow random IVs anymore.

I remember hearing a wild conspiracy a few years ago that Kara and Adam were going to spill the beans and whistle blow the world Oregon project. Admit to doping and throw everyone under the bus. To avoid the doo doo storm Alberto was creatively removed using Mary Cain, Kara also started getting more announcing jobs so they stayed quiet.

It was as if AlSal was rubbing everyone's nose in the idea that we can work harder than everyone, because we know he'll recover. I mean my god, just don't do things like this publicly so it's not so obvious.

it's interesting he felt the need to do it at all. professional runners have a schedule that is soft as F. they can take their time and put in the workout blocks they need at almost any time of the year. There is almost no reason not to just enjoy the win, and move onto the workouts another day.
Whereas in high school, you get these monster schedules with Dual Meets on weekdays and invites on weekends. if you want to give the kids rest days, it can be advantageous to fit the workout stuff in after a light meet. Then your two workout days are the meet days. no messing around on the other days trying to fit something in that you feel is missing.

She does. She actually takes time to stop the discussion in full disclosure and explains exactly how she introduced him to the team. I think she's still struggling with her relationships with Nike and AlSal. He seems like a creep to me, but also a creep that people seemed to acknowledge and support prior to him becoming "problematic."

Yet now some girl from Maine is winning World Indoors with a time of 8:20 for the 3k and college kids are running 26:52 for 10k. And that’s just good old fashion hard and real coaching.
Funny to think the NOP was thought to be dirty by all the jealous coaches and athletes - when in reality they were just a little ahead of their time.
