What kind of scholarship do top NCAA runners come in on?

25% at small mid major

10% at decent mid major

walk on spot at power 5 (big 10)

i got d1 fullride, maybe you're just slow

Yes a runner like Nico or KT will have many full offers.

Keep in mind the game has changed. Cost of attendance and NIL games are easy to play. Add in grades and you can stretch the money really far. I think Nico had excellent grades in high school so probably got a lot of academic awards.

For example. I was too ten in my class in the 3200m. I had a lot of full offers from schools that weren’t great. Others had zero to offer me, it was all spent on their current team.

the university that I went to said “you will pay zero here” but my athletic aid was closer to 62%. I got an out of state tuition waiver, some need based aid, and an extra academic award based off ACT score. So not full ride, but I never paid anything

Keep in mind getting academic $ at a place like NAU is far easier than at a place like Duke

Are you asking what percent those athletes paid or what percent of an athletic scholarship they earned? A smart runner may get 50% academic and 25% athletic. It is been brought up that a 1:47 HS runner last spring was offered nothing athletically at most schools because he is smart.

I can promise you Valby and anyone else who is an NCAA champion for a D1 power 5 program is on a full or is on enough aid to be pocketing money.

If you can score points at nationals in an event you can likely win or podium at conference for your team. That athlete should be on a full or at least be making money. Any NCAA champion not being paid could easily hit the portal and get paid what they're worth somewhere else.

Always pay your studs.

I know two different NCAA champions who were not on full rides. Non distance athletes. Won't say who but one was on 60% and the other 55%(tuition).

Not sure why you're threatened or offended by this thread but what I listed wasn't really the point of what I wrote if you bothered to read that.

I also know that a male champ this year is on 50%.

The NCAA cross country champion receives $0 in athletic scholarships and even winning a national title didn't change that.

Times are way different. Full ride to mid-major D1 off of 9:15/4:19 junior year times. Might not even get a walk on spot in the same program today.

I came in on a Tuition and Books type of scholarship. Not full ride but it did pay a lot which covered the out of state tuition I would have had to pay. This was last century so I'm sure some things have changed. I worked full time over the summers to make ends meet for the rest of my living expenses.

Full ride, plus $6000 a year in 2x payments.
