Based off outdoors 2023 and indoors 2024, I think Nuguse beats Kerr, and Jakob either wins or is a distant 3rd. Hard to tell since we can't tell what shape he's in, but if he's actually already running great intervals, It's pretty likely he wins. Nuguse has a much higher ceiling than Kerr, so I think he wins, but Kerr has been on fire lately. A 3:27 from him this year wouldn't be shocking. It'd be nuts, but he ran 3:29.0 at the Olympics a couple years ago, and he's super fit now.
How in the world can anyone say, "based of outdoors 2023 and indoors 2024, I think Nuguse beats Kerr." Have you been watching the same races I have? Kerr DESTROYED Yared at world outdoors. Kerr DESTROYED Yared at world indoors.
And how can someone also say, "Nuguse has a much higher ceiling than Kerr." Kerr's ceiling is twice best in the world - which can only be matched.
Regardless, I think the buzz for this race is great for the sport. Noah Lyles and Michael Johnson are both excited for it.
We just got a press release from TrackTown USA announcing the three headliners for the Bowerman Mile at the 2024 Pre Classic on May 25: Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Josh Kerr, and Yared Nuguse.
It will be Ingebrigtsen's first race of 2024 and his first race against Josh Kerr since he was upset in the 2023 World Championship final.
Who you got???
Jakob will win and would win running on one leg blindfolded.
Nobody has mentioned how insane the press conference could be!
Pre Classic is the only Diamond League where they actually put competitors on the same stage. 2022 had Jakob, Teare and Hocker. 2023 had Jakob, Nuguse and Hocker. This year will hopefully be Jakob, Nuguse and Kerr. It would be a wasted opportunity if they replaced Kerr or Jakob with Hocker. But they probably will since he ran for Oregon.
You're only saying that because it's the day before your birthday. So, not in the top 3? Pray tell who the interloper may be.
There was an anonymous weirdo recently who tried to spook me (I guess?) by actually knowing my birthday, but it’s not in May so is this like a joke? Anyway, singling out the interloper is totally antithetical to the basis of my prediction—that is, that the event is deep and unpredictable (and over 2 months away). Cole Hocker, Hobbs Kessler, George Mills, Jake Wightman, Reynold Cheruiyot, Abel Kipsang, Narve Nordas, Niels Laros: these are all very talented runners, and that’s without naming at least 5 other guys who ran 3:29 last year.
John Wesley Harding's birthday is the day before the meet, according to Wiki. Lighten up. It was a joke. All of it was.
My last house in the country was old, first thing I did when I moved in was found it and had it pumped. Family of four, I continued to have it pumped yearly. I would rather spend the $200.00 for the pump. Better safe than sorry.
Wait wait wait. You’re telling me that Josh Kerr lives in Seattle most of the year? And that I have been buying tickets to meets to watch him run when he lives in my own city? My mind is BLOWN. Wtf. Well now I clearly need to track him down haha
The brilliance of this is that it is an Olympic prequel with pacemakers
Whoever mentioned Beamish, is there any suggestion he'll be in that race?
I'm also a Haile Geb fan!!!! Also a Hicham EL G fan!!!! Both pious Abrahamic God worshippers, former Christian latter Muslim!!!!!
Yes it's quite obvious Kerr will win this and will run whatever time NEEDED to win. He doesn't run any more or less, that's the type of personality of a runner he is!!!!
Jakob has that tendency to swagger and showboat and could overcook what's necessary to win the race. Coupled with a foregone Achilles tendon scar tissue, a loss of testosterone to forming a baby with Elisabeth, seriously it's really+truly over for him at the 1500m/mile at the bare minimum!!!! He could still kick ass at the 5000m but not the 1500m/mile.
EL G did not tear a piece of his energy to his wife before dominating the 1500m/mile for exactly 9 years from 1996 to 2004!!!!!!! He became sick gradually from 2004 onwards after copulating with his wife and taking in her energy fields into all his cells and organs!!!
So EL G has demonstrated that you cannot admit a foreign bioelectromagnetic/energetic field into your own biology or energy field without COMPROMISING the original field thus weakening and 'corrupting' it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All top-level elite runners need to understand this simple law of electromagnetic fields and learn from my vast RF experience and knowledge!!!!
Wanna be number 1 for a long time??? Stay the heck away from even the sight of the opposite sex, much less enter into each other pants to conduct sexual relations, marital or otherwise, for love or for promiscuity!!!! Be MONKISH----cuz that's what KING EL G symbolized and exemplified.

Maybe a simple solution would be to have Jakob, Nuguse, Kerr, and Hocker.

Exactly dear Rojo, and how did Kerr destroy Nuguse at world indoors???
Kerr employed terrifically compatible arm swing and leg biomechanics to outrun Nuguse while the latter had non-existent arms to instantaneously respond and react to Kerr's move and thus suffer a few seconds time delay by which time Kerr was gone!!!!!
