Tuohy was once a generational talent

You work very hard on this project.

No reason we can't have a lot of talents pushing each other, like the East Africans.

Touhy's charm is she has been consistent over a long period and generally has been a good teammate and done things the right way.

2024 not over yet. Assuming they are healthy, no reason Valby and Touhy can't both run well this summer.

None of those names dominated high school running with three NXN individual titles, multiple national records (at the time), and then follow that up with three individual National titles in college plus All-American multiple times. No one else has dominated both high school and college quite like Katelyn did

Tuohy excelled from a very early age. Yes others are now posting times faster than she has run at certain ages. I hope all of these who have shown remarkable improvement over a one year period can sustain and continue to improve. Unfortunately some have shown they could not.

It is sad how people thought Tuohy was better than others at the same age. Mu and Wiley have accomplished more at the wold level. They were not mentioned. Tuohy fans are too focused on high school. She had great accomplishments but people used the word talent. She trained harder in high school than Monson and Schweizer. They are way more talented and way faster. Valby blew right by her. Leachman is more talented. It is just funny how people were so far off on this one. Bolt was a generational talent. Mondo is one. Tuohy is not even close to being the best at her age let alone being a generational talent. She will never be near Valby again. Wiley is making world teams. It must be very hard for Tuohy right now.

That is what made Tuohy unique. That she sustained it into college. Most do not. And part of that was that she was a relatively undertrained high school runner. Still at one point she had the mile, 3000, 3200 and 5000 record, and only ran these distances once or a few times.

Tuohy is the female King Chez.

Maybe you can compare her to Lebron James next. You have sprinters, 800 runners, older athletes, and some outright cautionary tales.

and presumably the assumption is some of the current athletes who are beating Tuohy's times are not training hard?

Seems like she's doing quite well actually, training with pro team under a cushy contract and buying her own house at an incredibly young age for current day standards. Its just Tuohy's weirdo fans on here that are having a hard time right now.

The high school runners beating her times are likley training hard. The runners who are much better than her now, were not training hard in hgh school which is why they were under the radar. Ranking the most talented women of the current generation, I would start with St. Pierre, Monson, Shcweizer, Cranny, Mu, and Wiley becuase they are the fastest. Tuohy is way down the list.

Sounds like Drew Hunter. I agree with you. She is smart. he is smart. Neither will make a team or do much at the pro level but both will earn a nice living and be happy and that is what really matters at the end of the day. Very few can do it all like Elle St. Pierre.

Two of those were beating Parker head to head. And Parker has not come within five seconds of her 3000m record despite gunning for it twice.

So we have four runners five years or more her senior, the semi retired 800m runner Mu, and someone embroiled in major scandal. Lol.

Tuohy is clean.

I thought that Valby was the same age. I think Monson is 4 years older. Regardless, there are a dozen women more talented than Tuohy who are in the same generation. But she has a nice run in high school and college.
