PS. It appears to me that the inclusivity activist and obese the woman are two different women. Can someone explain that to me what the inclusivity activist focuses on if it's not weight? Clearly skinny or fat men aren't allowed.
Even considering her age and gender and the fact that she's an ultrarunner, if she can't even run a 30 then she shouldn't be getting world renowned media attention.

It is like FKT. There is almost always someone that ran the route faster in the past, but since it isn’t in Strava people think it didn’t happen.
The obese woman is Mirna Valerio. Approaching 12 hours of running and She has currently run 36km. At current pace she will have run a marathon after about 14 hours. you go girlfriend!
It's early, but at 14 hours, Camille Herron and Devon Yanko are both ahead of Camille's 48-hour women's world best pace, and Leah Yingling is only slightly behind. I think Camille's goal is to break both the 48-hour women's and 6-day overall (men and women) records, and I think the 6-day record is also Devon's goal (don't know if she has interim goals).
Some of the women won't run nearly as much, but a significant goal of this project is to collect large amounts of performance-related data on women of a broad range of abilities and body types. Scoff if you must, but if you have any idea how paltry the data is on women and athletic performance, you should be aware that this project deserves praise for contributing, even in some small way, to addressing the gap.

reading between the lines here, the organiser wanted to be woke first and foremost, then they wanted to make a bit of publicity/money, and the "performance related data" was an afterthought to try and appease the scoffers.

You can just scrape data from Strava and get so, so, so much more information. The "data" thing is a total non-factor here.
