He ran 13:00 a few years ago, and, at this point, you'd have to think he has a better shot at making the Olympic team at 5000 than 1500 (though, he's unlikely to make the team in either).

Probably cashing in on appearance fees for being an Olympic 1500m gold medalist, so has to run a bunch of 1500s and that interferes too much with 5000m training.
Does wasn’t Centro 5000 gone went to?
For many, including Matt C, 5000m is a long way away from 1500m and 1 mile. I do not know what happened that one day, one time, said 13:00.xx 5000m race, more like a TT. Matt C raced college XC. Matt C has raced 3000m. When we review Matt C's career race performances his 800m and 1500m personal bests are clearly better than any other events. Matt C must not like racing events shorter than 800m or longer than 1 mile because his performances suffer outside of stated range.
I seen Dat hitting at high stakes Vegas tables real talk. Les go.
New entry to the list, just before 'have ran'.
'hasn't went'
"Why hasn't Centro went to the 5000?"
What language is this?
In Centro’s case I’ve never bought into the idea that he’d have a better chance in the 5k now that he’s older. He ran 13:00 in a time trial while training with BTC and was the 3rd American in that race - when he was in 3:32 shape. Why would anyone expect him to compete for top 3 in the US OT 5k five years later in 3:36 shape? No chance.
