That reminds me. I published an article on his running the event earlier in teh week but forgot to put in on the front page. I put a poll in the article - who finishes first, Bekele, Clayton Young or Conner Mantz and the vast majority of people voting are saying Bekele.
I've added in the () to the title to reflect Young and Mantz are also running.

He ran 2:04 not too long ago. Both of them are coming off a recent marathon. He won't win the half but he will beat them, even if he is 20 years removed from 26:00 10k

This will be his redemption race. If DNFs again, I think it's over for him. At least not at the highest elite level of racing.

You guys don't see it yet, do you? your boy is done. he's on the financial farewell tour. he can no longer make a national team in any distance, and cannot contest a notable marathon against up and comers in "the field".
2019 might as well be considered another era altogether given the exponential progression we've seen from "the field".
He is on a financial farewell tour. he is Beckham, he is Messi, he is owed the adoration but the sport has passed him by.
