Pretty bad heel pain in the last month or so, finally went and saw a doctor about it and confirmed I have a Haglund's deformity. No achilles issues, just soreness from rubbing on the heel counter.
Gave me a couple exercises and said I should be good to keep running, but I need new shoes. Have been a long time Brooks Launch guy, but the Launch 10s seemed to contribute a lot to the soreness (and weren't that comfortable in general) so I'm looking at other options. Right now I'm thinking possibly Adidas Solarglide or Nike Pegasus... could any confirm whether those would be good options (or suggest others)?
